You probably already know how Beachbody Coaches make money, which is by making retail sales of products, or through team cycle bonuses. But you  may want know EXACTLY how a Beachbody Coach can consistently earn $1000 a month. I think it is pretty fair to say that an extra $1000 a month is a significant amount of extra cash to be bringing in. That amount could be life changing as it could be applied to the mortgage or rent payment, the car payment, or just be put away towards savings or saved for a family vacation, anything that you want.

How Exactly Can A Beachbody Coach Earn $1000 A Month Consistently?

The key word here is “consistently”. Because Beachbody Coaches’ income is dependent on their personal sales, and every Coach will have some weeks that are better than others, generating consistent income can be challenging. Maybe one week a Coach will sell 3 Challenge Packs, and the next week, they won’t sell any. Because of this, consistent earnings is hard to maintain through retail sales alone. But, that does not mean that it is not possible.

Shakeology HD Sales & Sponsoring Is Key To $1000/mth

If you want to make $1000 a month as a Beachbody Coach, you will need to generate Shakeology HD (home direct monthly autoship) customers, and also build your own team of Coaches so you’re able to earn team cycle bonuses.

To make things simple, lets forget entirely about workout program sales. We will consider any workout program sales as “extra” income on top of the $1000 a month. Selling a P90x or Insanity is great, but it is only a one-time sale. In this business, the money is in generating Shakeology HD sales.

For example, if you are a Beachbody Coach that makes an Insanity sale, you would earn a $30 commission, but ONLY 1 time. On the flipside, if you make a Shakeology HD sale, you would earn a $30  commission EVERY month when the customer’s Shakeology ships out to them.

Having just 1 Shakeology HD customer will generate approximately $360 in commissions for a Beachbody Coach over the course of a year.

The takeaway is, Shakeology HD sales means consistent commissions coming in and are what Coaches should be focusing on. The workout programs are great, but from a business standpoint, they are really just a lead in to Shakeology, which will be a Coach’s main moneymaker on the retail side of things.

Team Cycle Bonuses Are Where Its At

Once a Beachbody Coach has a small team built, they will start to earn team cycle bonuses…these start to add up fast.

For every 300 team volume points generated in a Coach’s organization, they will earn a “cycle” of either $14, $16, or $18. (I won’t get into the specifics on how the cycle bonuses work in this post, but you can read about them here http://coachquestions.com/beachbody-coach-team-cycle-bonus/). With even a small team, the number of team volume points can grow to be very large every week.

Beachbody Coach $1000/mth Plan

To break things down even further, below is a simple plan to follow, with specific goals to shoot for to be making $1000 a month as a Beachbody Coach.

Step 1: Generate 3 new (Challenge Pack) Shakeology HD sales every month.

By generating just 3 new Shakeology HD customers each month, this is what your income would like like over the course of 6 months:

  • Month 1 – $90 in commissions
  • Month 2 – $180 in commissions
  • Month 3 – $270 in commissions
  • Month 4 – $360 in commissions
  • Month 5 – $450 in commissions
    • Month 6 – $540 in commissions

    By the 6th month, you have 18 Shakeology customers ordering Shakeology on autoship every month. You’ve made the sale once, and continue to earn the commission month after month every time they re-order….pretty sweet huh?

    Now let’s be realistic. Everyone will not stay on Shakeology forever, some customer will cancel. So lets say that after 6 months, 3 people out of the 18 have cancelled.

    After 6 months, with 3 cancellations, you now have 15 Shakeology HD monthly autoship customers and are earning $450 a month from those sales alone.

    So you’re at $450/mth….only $550 to go to reach $1000…

    Step 2: Start building a team to grow your team volume.

    Let’s break down a team cycle bonus scenario.

    In order to earn $550/mth in team cycle bonuses (assuming you are Diamond and earning $18 per cycle), you need to cycle 31 times.

    31 cycles X $18 per cycle = $558

    And in order to achieve 31 cycles, you’d need approximately 9300 in team volume in your organization over the course of the month, or 2325 TV a week.

    So now we’re at 2325 TV/week, which isn’t a difficult or unrealistic number to get to. It all depends on what each individual Coach in your organization produces and if they are actively working the business and making sales. Some Coaches may do 500 TV a week by themselves, while others will do 0 TV. If I had to guess on the number of Coaches you’d need in your organization in order to have 2325 TV generated on a consistent weekly basis, I’d say somewhere between 40-60. Again, it really all depends, (at the time of this writing) I had 1 person in my organization last week that had 2048 TV alone, but that isn’t typical.

    40-60 Coaches may seem like a large number to get to, but it really isn’t too difficult to achieve. Here a simple breakdown:

    If a brand new Beachbody Coach can sponsor just 1 new Coach a month, and teach those new Coaches to do the same, in just 6 months that Coach would have grown an organization of over 60 Coaches. Here’s a breakdown of the numbers and how it would work.

    Month 1 – You sponsor 1 person – Total people in your business – 2
    Month 2 – Everyone sponsors – Total People in your business: 4
    Month 3 – Everyone sponsors – Total People: 8
    Month 4 – Everyone sponsors – Total People: 16
    Month 5 – Everyone sponsors – Total: 32
    Month 6 – Everyone sponsors – Total: 64

    Now here is the awesome part and where exponential growth starts to kick in. If you were to keep up that same pace of sponsoring just 1 person a month, and teaching everyone in your organization to do the same, over the course of a year you would have grown an team of over 4000 Coaches. Here’s what the numbers would like on that:

    Month 7 – Total 128
    Month 8 – Total 256
    Month 9 – 512
    Month 10 – 1024
    Month 11 – 2048
    Month 12 – 4096

    As you can see from the numbers above, it isn’t necessary to sponsor hundreds of Coaches into the business in order to grow a large team. In the scenario above, only 12 new Coaches were personally sponsored.

    Again, lets get realistic. The scenario I show above would never happen that way. There will be people that you sponsor into the business that also bring others into the business, and there will be people that never sponsor anyone. Typically the latter will be the case.

    You have to expect that some people will sign up as a Coach, and for whatever reason, will not have the same goals as you do or have the same motivation to work their business. In Jordan Adler’s book, Beach Money, which is great book, he breaks down the numbers in thirds, here they are below:

    • 33% of the people that you sponsor into the business will never do anything.
    • 33% of people will do a little.
    • And 33% will do a lot.

    From my personal experience I’ve found his numbers to somewhat correct. His percentage of people that will do, “a lot”, may be a little high in my opinion. I’d say that the percentage of people that do a lot will be closer to 10%, but that all depends on a wide variety of different variables.

    Quick Summary – How To Make $1000 A Month As A Beachbody Coach

    So I kind of rambled on in this post. Here a few key takeaways and a specific plan to reach $1000 a month in your Beachbody business.

    1. Focus on selling Challenge Packs, or Shakeology HD. 3 new sales will put you on pace to earn $1000/mth in 6 months or less.
    2. Focus on sponsoring new motivated Coaches into the business and spend quality time with them getting them trained and started in the right direction. The team building process is slow, but eventually it takes off and exponential growth takes over and your team will start to grow almost effortlessly, but this is something that will take a few years of hard work.
    3. Qualify for Success Club 5 every month. (More on this below.)

    Tip: Shoot for Qualifying for Success Club every month. As a benefit for making Success Club you will be given Shakeology customers AND the commissions. This is a nice incentive, and sometimes the Shakeology customers you are given are on HD, which helps you reach your goal of acquiring 3 new Shakeology customers each month.

    If you don’t know what Success Club is, here is a quick summary on how to earn points:

    • 1 Challenge Pack sale is worth 2 Success Club points
    • 1 Shakeology HD sale is worth 1 Success Club point

    All that a Beachbody Coach needs to do in order to qualify for Success Club 5 is to accumulate 5 points. There are a few other fine print things needed, but that is basically the jist of it.

    What’s great about being a Beachbody Coach is that you can work and grow your business at your own pace. Getting to $1000/mth could take a year, or even 2 years, which would still be a great accomplishment.

    One thing to understand is that once you get to $1000/mth, you’ve set a great foundation for growing a large organization and it will continue to grow larger an larger without extra  effort on your part.

    This is a challenging business. Like anything in life you will get out of it what you put in. There will be hard times, struggles, and hurdles to jump over. In the end, it will be worth it.
